Booking and buying a ticket
You may book and buy a ticket online. Moreover, please contact a departure airport service and notify them about a passenger with disabilities, tell them about your special needs: whether you are carrying a wheelchair as a baggage item (specifying its type – mechanically driven, or with accumulator batteries, weight and other parameters), whether you need help in moving inside the airport, whether you are accompanied by a guide dog or you need to use an oxygen cylinder.
At the airport
Please order a free accompanying service inside the airport: during check-in and luggage documentation, preflight examination, border and customs control, boarding, leaving the plane, baggage collection on arrival. Flying in a wheelchair
Passengers with disabilities and other health limitations are provided an opportunity to stay in their own wheelchair (except for electrically driven ones) until exiting to boarding.
Electrically-driven wheelchairs used by a passenger should be registered as their baggage during check-in.
Passengers using electrically-driven wheelchairs are required to have a set of keys/tools to disconnect accumulator terminal, package for an accumulator pursuant to Technical instructions on secure air transportation of dangerous cargo.
Accumulator terminal disconnection and connection for electrically-driven wheelchairs is done by a passenger on his/her own or by a servicing company on demand.
Passengers with disabilities or other health limitations in arrival and transit airports are provided with wheelchairs in baggage collection area on demand either at check-in or immediately after leaving the plane.
Wheelchairs or other tools used by passengers with disabilities or other persons with health limitations are transported as a registered baggage in luggage compartments.
Foldable wheelchairs or other tools used by passengers may be transported on board, should their weight and size measurements be in line with carry-on luggage requirements, pursuant to Federal Aviation Regulations ‘General rules of air transportations of passengers, luggage, cargoes and requirements to servicing passengers, shippers and cargo recipients’, approved by the order No 82 of Russian Department of Transport dated June 28, 2007.
Wheelchairs used by passengers are accepted for air transportation without extra charges.
Provision of seats to passengers with disabilities or other health limitations is subject to flight security regulations.
The airliner makes its best possible effort to provide adjacent onboard seats to passengers with disabilities or other persons with health limitations and accompanying people.
While at airport or on board, passengers with disabilities or other people with health limitations must exercise medical procedures, ensure taking food and medication, provide hygene procedures or supervise their guide dogs on their own or with help of accompanying persons.
The airline company representatives neither lift passengers with disabilities or other persons with health limitations nor carry them in arms.
A check-in manager provides passengers with adequate seats to cater for their needs given that flight security requirements are met:
- passengers with disabilities or other persons with health limitations are not provided with emergency exit row seats;
- special service employees of a servicing company provide passenger seating on board accompanied by a flight attendant (delegated flight attendant responsible for providing passengers with disabilities or other persons with health limitations with seats) according to the boarding pass.
